Here come the Corning Bobcats!

Our Senior Bobcats traveled to Osceola (two-time runner up state champions; 18-19) and were defeated 48 to 12. Jordan Grubb caught a forty-yard strike from Jake Gutierrez for our first score. Later in the fourth quarter, Jake scored from ten yards out on a dive play. We gave up three major turnovers and our kids know they can not win many games with that many turnovers. We go back to work Monday getting ready for Manila on Friday, October 2 - Homecoming. We are 2-2 and will have everybody back (injuries) and 100 percent this week. We appreciate our fans, administrators, and all those that support our kids. Go Bobcats!

BOBCAT FOOTBALL

The Sr. Bobcats took the long trip to Yellville on Friday night and got a win of 40 to 0. I want to thank my administrators and loyal Bobcat fans that made the long trip. We played well and got everybody in the game. Once any team goes ahead by 35 points then the clock continues to run and if you are at Yellville (3 hours) you want the clock to run faster. Our quarterback, Jake Gutierrez had a good game running the offense, getting people lined up and controlling the tempo of the game. Parker Davis recorded two picks on defense and had several tackles. Nikoda Amiker, Landon Lucas, Clayton Crosby, Rhett Eddington, and Gary Comstock all ran the ball well. Our defensive line, Ethan Jordan, Landon Berry, Rhett Eddington, Dakota Wilkins and Francis Fisher) gave up little yardage upfront. Offensively, (Francis Fisher, John Swint, Dakota Wilkins, Ethan Jordan, Kent Young, Eli Mason ) opened up some big holes for our running backs. We recovered two onside kicks (Rocky Flores - Special Teams) and only punted once. We have a good Salem team coming to town on Friday, Sept. 18 and hope to build on our recent success. Go Bobcats!
