Trumann earns road victory over Cats

The Trumann Lady Wildcats invaded Corning on Tuesday, April 2 and went home with a big conference road victory over Corning, 11 to 1. Trumann’s starting pitcher was nearly unhittable in this outing pitching a complete game. The Lady Bobcats did manage to score a run in the bottom of the first inning taking a 1 to 0 lead, but it would be the only time they would score again the rest of the game.

The Bobcats only managed two base hits in this game and committed five errors behind starting pitcher Steffani Hampton. Hampton went four and a third inning throwing 15 first pitch strikes, but simply couldn’t overcome the errors in the field. It’s truly one of those games where you just burn the tape and move onto the next game. This is a tough Trumann team that moved to (6-2) in conference and are getting hot at the right time. Corning just ran into a buzz saw in this one.
