Sr. Girls roller coaster season ends with loss in Regionals to Melbourne - 71 to 51

The host for the Regional Tournament used a big second half to dismantle the Lady Bobcats, Thursday, February 22. Melbourne, on a 12-game winning streak entering the game, was given a run for their money in the first half by the undersized, pesky Lady Cats. Senior Maggie Couch had a big first quarter scoring half of the Bobcats’ points and keeping Corning close, only trailing 15 to 12 after one. The second quarter showcased another Senior, Kaytie Manatt, who scrapped and clawed to eight points in the quarter to keep the game within reach. Corning entered the half only down 30 to 24. Half of the Bearkatz points in the first half came via the three point shot.
