Lady Cats fall to Screamin’ Eagles: 51-37

Monday, December 14 the Corning Lady Bobcats played the Lady Screamin’ Eagles of Hillcrest.

Hillcrest shot out of the gate with 19 points in the first quarter to Corning’s 8 points. The Lady Cats rallied in the second quarter with 14 points and holding Hillcrest to 12. The score was 31-22 at the half with Hillcrest in the lead. The Lady Bobcats fought hard despite 10 turnovers; Hillcrest had 12 turnovers. The Screamin’ Eagles pulled away further scoring 14 points in the third quarter while Corning scored 5. Corning attempted to gain a lead scoring 10 points in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough as the game ended with a score of 51-37.
