Jr. Bobcats tame Lions; 40-23
Friday, December 4 the Corning Jr. Bobcats traveled to Manila to take on the Jr. Lions. The first quarter the Bobcats and Lions were neck and neck; 12-10 and by the second quarter, Corning held the Lions to 2 points while scoring 10 for a half time score of 22-12. In the third quarter Corning continued to steam roll the Jr. Lions holding them to 3 points and scored 15. In the fourth quarter Manila attempted a comeback with 8 points while Corning scored 3 points for a game final; 40-23.
Jayce Couch was the top scorer of the game with 15 points in the form of three 2-pointers, two shots behind the arc and went 3-3 at the charity stripe. Luke Blanchard scored 11 points with three 2-point shots, a 3-pointer and went 2-2 at the free throw line. Cole Kemp popped 4 points in the paint and added a free throw point for a total of 5 points. Teammates Spencer Blanchard, Roman Davis and Haydon Cox each contributed 3 points a piece. The Jr. Bobcats scored 86% of their free throws during the outing.
