Corning Jr. High Football season comes to an end
The Corning Bobcats Junior High football team dropped their final game of the season Thursday, October 25 to a very athletic Osceola squad, 46 to 6. A hard mist poured down from the first whistle to the last and made playing conditions very tough on this chilly fall night. The ball was tough to get a good grip on with many dropped passes, several passes falling short, many bobbled snaps, hand offs and fumbles throughout the night. Osceola jumped out to a quick 32 to 0 lead by halftime. Corning, like they have done all year, didn’t go quietly into the night in the second half. Corning took their first drive of the second half 57 yards on seven plays. It started with a great kickoff return by Damion Fife for 20 yards giving the Cats great field position. The drive was capped off by a Camden Hudson 30 yard touchdown pass to Bryan Lane. Hudson hurled it up high enough to give Lane enough time to adjust to the ball, get in front of the defender, haul it in and make one Seminole defender miss before turning on the jets to the end zone.
