Corning Baseball pounds rival Piggott - 7 to 2
Seth George pitched a complete game only giving up three hits and one earned run Monday, March 12 at Piggott. George set the tone for the game with his solid performance on the mound. George kept the Mohawk offense at bay in front of their home crowd by throwing 63 of his 99 pitches for strikes, 23 first pitch strikes and by striking out five Piggott hitters.
George threw strikes and let his defense do the rest. The Bobcat defense was stellar only committing one error and turning two double plays. The Corning offense managed 10 base hits off of two Mohawk pitchers. Clint Hovis, Beau Young and Mason Silberstein all went two for four with two runs batted in respectively. Corning used great plate discipline only striking out three times and drawing three walks. Cole Guthrey and Jacob Price each added an RBI each for the Bobcats in their road victory over their county rivals.
