Bobcats fall to Manila Lions; 55-37
The Corning Bobcats played the Manila Lions on Friday, December 4, 2020 in Manila. The Lions held the Bobcats during the first quarter to 5 points made by Colby Briney and Jayden Wiedeman to the Lions’ 14 points. At the half, the Lions led 28-15. When the Cats returned in the third quarter, they had their highest scoring quarter with 12 points while the Lions scored 18 points. During the fourth quarter the Lions held their lead for a final score of 55-37.
Jayden Wiedeman scored 10 points from the field for the Cats and was 3-0 at the free throw line, while Cyle Briney chipped in 6 points behind the arc. Cade Briney contributed 7 points going 2-2 at the charity stripe and adding 5 points with a 2 and 3-point shot. Colby Briney scored 5 points while Luke Wheeler, Clayton VanPool went 2-2- at the free throw line and John Swint provided 2 points from inside the paint.
