Bobcat Baseball snags road win at Trumann- 8 to 4

Coach Kyle George and the Corning Bobcat’s Baseball team made the trip down to Trumann Arkansas Friday, March 8 to battle it out with the Wildcats. The score indicates a smooth first victory of the season for the Bobcats but that was not the case. This was a back and forth affair for five innings. Corning jumped out to a 2 to 0 lead after one inning of play. Trumann scored in each of the next two innings taking a 3 to 2 lead heading into the fourth. Corning plated one to tie the game in the top half of the inning, but the Wildcats responded again retaking a 4 to 3 lead after four innings of baseball. Corning would answer yet again driving in two runs in the top of the fifth inning and never relinquished the lead again. In fact, Trumann was held scoreless in the final three innings in this contest.
