RAMBLING VINES

Now, if you want to know how the weather is going to be for 1985, I can give it to your the old Indian way, I suppose.

All my life I have heard that the weather of the first 12 days of the new year govern the weather for each of the 12 months. . . because my grandpa said so. And he was a whole lot Indian!

Anyway, I have kept up with it and here is what to expect in the way of favorable weather for planting potatoes and making early garden:

January - Will be rainy, cold, dreary with some snow; February - Clear and very cold; March - Cloudy, windy, cold, snow; April - Snow, very cold; May - Clear and cold: June - Cloudy, cold; July - Clear and cool; August - Cloudy to partly cloudy and cold; September - Partly cloudy, cold, windy, snow(?); October - Clear, cold; November - Snow flurries, cold; December - Clear and cold.
