Everyone needs more money, that’s for sure. But, I just learned something very interesting last week Corning Public Library has been offered an opportunity to obtain a brand new copy machine for a total of $500.00. Only trouble is, they don’t have $500.00. Mrs. A. D. Jones, Librarian, said that Mrs. Nancy Evans, director of the Northeast District Libraries, has informed her if Corning Library can raise the first $500.00, that the regional library will furnish the remainder of the money.

From working in a place where we have numerous requests for copies of valuable papers. I know that a dependable copy machine for use by the public are the Library would be money well spent.

I know of something else that could be bought by some well meaning individual or group, and left at the Library to be used by everyone -- that’s a good camera. That way, when folks have family gatherings, parties, and other special events taking place in their lives, they could go to the Library, check out the camera, go purchase their own supplies, then return the camera to the Library within so many hours.
