With the help of me, Al Drilling, Beverly Shepard, J.H. Emert, Malcolm Brownfiel and John Herren, my mom has finally gotten the grass along the edge of Third Street killed and now I have inherited the job of keeping all new growth chopped out. What started out as a minor job turned into a real production before we got it completed. The blacktop is a little thin in spots along our property and my mom doesn’t like the idea of grass growing through it. See, first I borrowed an orchard spray tank from John Herren, had it filled with diesel fuel, then couldn’t operate the thing.
