Boy have I got a bone to pick with Governor Clinton. He said it. . .this is not hearsay. . .I heard him say it loud and clear and I was so upset I nearly called him right that minute.
I was watching television over a recent weekend and at the end of every program some person would be featured as they said great things about AETN and expressed gratitude for all the contributions which have assured that the program can continue. On this particular occasion it was the Governor’s time to express thanks. He did good right up to his very last sentence when he said that the contributions could “help to make Arkansas a state worth living in.” I’ve not news for that young man. . .Arkansas already is a State worth living!
I’ve got nothing against AETN. In fact I watch it more than any other station. I like most of their programming. . .unless they have opera or ballet. Those things are a little too much for a country jake like me. I’d rather watch those programs on remodeling old homes (a person can pick up some good tips), on gardening, on cooking and. . .on fishing!
I’m almost glad to see the last of 1985. . .maybe 1986 will be better-can’t be much worse.
