The markings of a great leader

We are roughly a month away from the first Corning Bobcat football game on September 6 against Rector. Corning parents, alumni and fans haven’t had this much to be excited about in 42 games. A new coach, a new mindset and a new season has given everyone a new reason to hope.

Why would a coach with 45 years of experience choose to uproot his career to come coach a team that has a long losing streak? Some of his peers may think he’s crazy, after all, if he isn’t successful he would be ending his career with losses. I’ll let you in on a little secret; all of the greats, no matter their career field, love a challenge and have faith in their knowledge and ability. I believe that’s why Coach Larry Treadway chose to coach the Corning Bobcats.
