Love and compassion are not luxuries . . .

Lately, I’ve been trying to focus on connecting with people. By that I mean, really noticing people. We can get so busy and caught up in our lives that we can overlook or see through people. We can go about life almost on autopilot. Tasks and jobs can overtake us and hold us hostage; overtaking our lives until joy is squelched. I’m trying to find that blend of work and having a life outside work. I’m always learning something new about myself and what I’ve learned recently is that no matter what I’m doing, it’s with everything I have. There is no half-way. If I’m interested, I’m in.
