Rita King Sweaney

Rita King Sweaney, 59, of Knobel, passed away December 22, 2016, at home. Mrs. Sweaney was born September 3, 1957, in Walnut Ridge. She was an instructor for Hair Tech and Blackwood Beauty Schools. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and playing cards. She was a member of New Life Family Church, Knobel. On November 4, 2006, she married Dean Sweaney. He survives. Other survivors are her daughters Tina (Derwin) Stormes, Tera (Brad) Lewis, and Janey (Chad) Stormes, all of Knobel; son Garry (Erin) Rice of Paragould; mother Mattie King of Lafe; siblings Ronnie (Lana) King of Corning, Don (Letia) King of Brookland, Ellen Booth of Beech Grove, and Thomas (Kim) King of Lafe; step-children Jeromy (Gena) Sweaney of Corning and Jamie Sweaney of Paragould; and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by father Elvin King; father- in- law J D Sweaney; mother- in- law Missy Sweaney; and first husband Garry Rice. Visitation was Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016, at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Graveside service were held at Hosea Cemetery in Knobel with Roger Hovis officiating, followed by burial.
