Mildred Forrest, 83, of Corning passed away on February 28, 2019 at home surrounded by family.
Born November 18, 1935 in Pocahontas, Mrs. Forrest was retired from Johansen Brothers Shoe Company, Inc. and Carter Carburetor in Corning. She enjoyed cooking, canning, quilting, camping, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Corning.
On October 27, 1952, she married her husband of 66 years, Jack Forrest. He survives.
Other survivors include their children Bob (Linda) Forrest of Jonesboro and Donna (Mike) Schott of St. Louis, MO; brothers Millard (Wanda) Dillard of Morehouse, MO, Bill (Darlene) Dillard of Mountain Home, and Jerry (Jackie) Dillard of High Ridge, MO; sister Ann Griffin of Corning; grandchildren Robert, Heather, Rodney, Brandy, Lacey, Kurt, and Sarah; great grandchildren Alexis, Tyler, Everett, Oliver, Grace, Morgan, Michael, Jack, and Allie; and great great grandchildren Levi, Paisley, and Brookland.
She was preceded in death by her sons Jackie and Timmy Forrest; granddaughter Andrea Forrest; parents Harley Franklin and Dollie Mae (Sneed) Dillard; brothers James, Charles, and Don Dillard; and sisters Ellen Jones and Helen Phelps.
Visitation was Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service followed at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Danny Self, Rev. Laverne Reed, and Rev. Josh Carver officiating. Burial was at Post Oak Cemetery, McDougal.
