Donald Joe Johnson, 71, of Paragould, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at home.
Mr. Johnson was born in Corning on February 10, 1948. He owned a gravel hauling business. He loved laughing, telling jokes, going fishing, and going to the dog track. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during Vietnam and was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his children Donna Jo Delveaux of Rockford, IL, Joey Johnson, and Donielle Andrews both of Paragould; sisters Celeste Allen, Fletta Brewer, Darlene Hambrick, Debbie Wilkerson; grandchildren Cameron Fluaitt, Donavin Fluaitt, Tye Johnson, Gavin Johnson, Cali Sue Johnson, Jaliah Johnson, Bryce Mears, Kailee Andrews; great-grandchildren Trinity Fluaitt, D.J. Fluaitt, Jaxon Fluaitt, Maverick Mears; and special friends Marla Gozell, Joyce Massey and Jimmy Jo Briney.
He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn (Laughlin) Johnson; his parents Everett Lee and Lola (Richardson) Johnson; three sisters Imodene Mason, Guynneth Nelson and Laverda Maple; three brothers Ladoin Johnson, General Johnson and Dewayne Johnson. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Wooldridge officiating. Burial will be in Moark Cemetery in Corning.
