Frederick Austin Allmandinger

Frederick Austin Allmandinger, 87, of Corning, passed away peacefully, Sunday, April 23, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born to Christopher and Lula (Rogers) Allmandinger on July 20, 1929. He lived all his life in Corning. Fred was a retired grain and catfish farmer. He served on numerous state and local farm related boards. He was also a lifetime Lutheran and served in all offices of the church. In his spare time he enjoyed; basket making, reading, fishing and building things. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Wanda (Dulaney) Allmandinger of the home; daughters Kathy Kidd of Hot Springs, Brigitte (Jeff) Mc- Donald of Corning, and Bendi (Kevin) Whitt of Paragould; sister Dorothy Barton of Corning; grandsons Jake and Luke McDonald; and great-grandsons Case and Rhett McDonald. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters Christine “Dolly” Coonce and Anna Mayberry. Visitation was Wednesday from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. at the Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Corning with Rev. Jon Bischoff officiating. Burial follows in Corning Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital or St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Corning. Online condolences:
