Brenda Joyce Clarkson

Brenda Joyce Creason Clarkson was born on June 9, 1942, and went home to be with the Lord on December 14, 2016. She married Alvidean Ellis Clarkson on February 8, 1959, and through this union became a proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Charleston, MO

During her time on earth, Brenda worked as a hair stylist, nursing assistant, EMT, respiratory therapist, and phlebotomist. After becoming disabled many years ago, she loved spending time reading her Bible, crocheting, shopping, and trying new recipes.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents L. D. and Freda Pierce Creason. Survivors include her husband of 57 years Al Clarkson of the home; daughters Paula (Steve) Cate of Corning, Shannon (Terry) Sears of Corning, Dena (Sean) O’Guin of Glenpool, OK, and Jami (RockyII) Walker of Charleston, MO; brother Phil (Emma) Creason of Perryville, MO; sister Dee (Mark) Ahrent of Corning; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning with Mike McKinney officiating. Burial followed in Corning Cemetery.
