Betty Sue Fowler Vinson
Betty Sue Fowler Vinson, 84, of Corning, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. Mrs. Vinson was born on October 5, 1932. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church Corning. She married her husband of 47 years, Jim Vinson, on October 19, 1952. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1999. She is survived by her children, Pam (Kenny) Raspberry of Bryant, AR, Mike (Vicky) Vinson of Corning, AR, Denny (Julie) Vinson of White House, TN, and Duane Vinson of Nashville, TN; seven grandchildren Stefanie (Aaron) Palmer, Josh (Jane) Raspberry, Nichole Vinson (Shawn Parkton), Jennifer (Clay) Thomerson, Amy (Scotty) Catt, Leah Vinson (Tyler Grevious), and Emily Vinson; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister Syble (Jack) Ingram, Corning, AR. And many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Andrew and Susie Fowler, sisters, Nellie Calhoun, Maudie Hayes, Lucille Curtis, Helen Curtis, and brother, William ‘Bud’ Fowler; and great-granddaughter, Emma Grace Raspberry. Funeral services were held Friday, April 21, 2017, at Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Josh Raspberry and Reverend Don Settles officiating. Burial followed the service in the Corning Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Corning First Baptist Church Building Fund, 701 West Third Street, Corning, AR 72422.
