A season to remember: 2018 Arkansas Razorback Baseball

Former walk-on and ALL SEC Senior second baseman Carson Shaddy, senior designated hitter Luke Bonfield and Junior All American pitcher Blaine Knight, all made tough decisions to stay in school another year and try to help the Hogs achieve something they never have. Shaddy, Bonfield and Knight did not disappoint this season and as much as their stats cemented that thinking, it was their leadership on and off the diamond that helped propel this team to new heights. Another factor that won’t get talked about much is the addition of Pitching Coach Wes Johnson. Johnson, originally from Sherwood, came from a solid Mississippi State baseball team. Kacey Murphy, Isaiah Campbell, Barrett Loseke, Jake Reindl and Matt Cronin has been a major reason for the team’s success. Of course you can’t speak about Arkansas baseball success without speaking of Head Coach Dave Van Horn. Van Horn this season pushed all the right buttons inside and outside of the clubhouse.
