Joe Brown

Joe Brown, 73, of Corning passed away July 2, 2018 at home. Mr. Brown was born October 6, 1944 in Lepanto. Mr. Brown proudly served in the US National Guard and was a backhoe operator who owned Joe Brown’s Backhoe and Trenching. He enjoyed scuba diving, deer hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. He was of the Pentecost faith. On October 14, 1966, he married his wife of 52 years, Mary Sue Mansker. She survives. Other survivors include his sons Shannon Brown of McDougal and Shawn Brown of Corning; brother Bobby (Carol) Brown of McDougal; sister Wanda Roark of McDougal; grandchildren Lorean, Reagen, Halie, and Landon; great grandchildren Jett, Jackson, and Korvin; brother- in-law John Mansker; and sister-in-law Ramona Mansker. He was preceded in death by his parents Marion Leo “Jim” Brown and Lalia Mae (Holt) Brown; brothers Billy Jewel and Jimmy Leon Brown; and brother- in-law Jackie Roark. Visitation will be Thursday July 5, 2018 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jimmy McMasters officiating.
