Williams retires as Chamber secretary

The Chamber of Commerce and members of the community came together at the September 10 Chamber meeting to honor Chamber secretary Priscilla Williams on her retirement. Williams has served as secretary for 11 years. Addressing the audience, incoming President Brigitte McDonald said that Priscilla began as the secretary during her first term as Chamber president and now as she is president again, Williams is retiring. Chamber member Mike Vinson spoke glowingly about Williams saying that he and

Priscilla had a long history of working together from when she worked at the funeral home. He shared, “When we were looking for a secretary and she applied, I knew immediately who I wanted to get the job because I knew she would do a good job and sure enough she has. She was always there. She was always conscientious with the work that she did. You never had to worry about anything being out of order because she always took care of things.”
