Rural fire subscription service forms due
Corning Volunteer Fire Department continues their Rural Service Plan offering subscription service to homeowners residing outside Corning city limits. The fee for the service remains $25 per house or building at each address being covered. Corning Volunteer Fire Department Secretary, J.R. Roark reported that forms are being sent out this week and are due as soon as possible as they are normally due on May 15th. Roark wants rural residents to be aware that when they receive the form the due date will read May 15. Residents will need to send in the form as soon as possible.
As in years past, a member will be assured of fire protection services at no extra charge if they should have a fire. For those who are not a member, the fire department charges for any fire service rendered at the current rate of $500 per incident.
