A number of new county ordinances will take effect in the upcoming new year.
On Monday night, the Clay County Quorum Court met to discuss several issues in an attempt to prepare for 2017. One such issue was the adoption to increase noncriminal fingerprinting fees. Currently priced at $5, fingerprinting services for noncriminal purposes will rise to $10 on January first, according to Clay County Sheriff Terry Miller.
