NEA Full Spectrum awarded license for medical marijuana dispensary in Rector

Growing and selling medicine in Clay County

The Arkansas Medical Marijuana Commission announced last week the firms approved for medical marijuana dispensaries. One firm chosen will be located in the city of Rector in Clay County. This meant that NEA Full Spectrum Medicine, LLC’s president, Scot Sale and fellow business owners had seven business days to pay the required $15,000 licensing fee and $100,000 performance bond. The company is owned by Gerald Scot Sale, president with 11.25 percent ownership; Anthony P. Horner, secretary/treasurer, 11.25 percent; June Williams/ Al Williams & Son Nursery, 22.5 percent; Teresa Gail Sale, 11.25 percent; Vicki Laree Benjamin, 11.25 percent; Jim Todd Watson, 11.25 percent; Elizabeth Ann Watson, 11.25 percent; and Joshua Ryan Egle, 10 percent. Last Wednesday, January 30, Sale went to Little Rock to pay the fee and post the performance bond.

The dispensaries were chosen based on scores provided to the state Medical Marijuana Commission by outside consultant, Public Consulting Group of Boston, who reviewed more than 200 applications. Sale stated that their application was a detailed, tedious application and over 1,100 pages. They now have to follow that application just as they turned it in.
