McDonald urges lawmakers to fix health center funding

Brigitte McDonald is no stranger to the fight for health care for northeast Arkansans. McDonald, CEO of 1st Choice Healthcare Inc., has been instrumental in helping to provide health care to the uninsured and underinsured patients in Clay and surrounding counties since the opening of 1st Choice Healthcare in 1994. Tuesday, February 6, 2018, McDonald found herself once again on the front lines of securing health care for northeast Arkansas residents on “Red Alert for Health Centers” day. She traveled to Washington, D.C. to speak, talk with legislators and listen to advocates in support of finding a long-term solution to the health center funding cliff.
