It’s Team Blake for Cory Jackson in The Voice Blinds
Those who attended Corning’s Fourth of July Homecoming Picnic may have recognized a young man performing in the Blind Auditions on NBC’s The Voice on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Cory Jackson, a Jonesboro native, who performed at Wynn Park on July 4, sang Glen Campbell’s hit song, “Galveston” during his audition that resulted in three chair turns out of the four judges. Kelly Clarkson, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton each vied to be Jackson’s coach in the competition. John Legend elected to remain unturned in his chair.
Jackson ultimately chose the country artist, Shelton. He talked to Blake right after his Blind Audition. “He is as funny and he seems to cut up all the time just like he does right on national TV. He just seems to be so down to earth and a really good guy. I’m really looking forward to working with him more as it goes to Battles.”
