Data depicts senior center funding down to the bone

This is the third installment in a series of articles about the stagnant funding of Arkansas senior centers. Governmental consulting partners, Bill Stovall and Dana Wills with WSG Consulting, LLC, lobbyists for the Area Agency on Aging and the Arkansas Press Association, provided data and information concerning the idle funding for senior centers across the state.

Arkansas senior citizen centers are currently running on shoestring budgets and have been since 2005 despite the increase in the cost of living over the past 14 years. To understand the senior center funding situation, it’s best to begin with what has happened thus far using funding data.
