County and city respond to COVID-19

AR implements social distancing

As the novel coronavirus spreads across the world like a brush fire, Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson has taken distinctive measures to try to ensure as many Arkansans as possible remain safe from COVID-19. Last week the governor initiated social distancing and postponed schools until April 17, when the issue will be addressed again.

At press time there were 232 confirmed cases in Arkansas according to the Arkansas Department of Health with 10 cases considered recovered and two deaths in the state; a total of 1,230 Arkansans tested with 998 negative tests.
