Corning to benefit from VISTA volunteer

Volunteers learn of importance of community buy-in

The first of 12 Leadership Training sessions to be held over the next year was held Friday, June 21 at the M.B. Ainley, Jr. Community Center. New VISTA volunteers met under the direction of Martha Claire Drysdale, Director of the Foundation for the Midsouth, to reflect on their first couple of weeks in their new roles and learn about what is expected.

Ryan Carter is the VISTA volunteer for the next year for Corning and his main focus will be a community garden on the corner of Magnolia and Crafton Streets.
