Clay plans Clay Co. outreach for American Cancer Society
Jennifer Clay’s story and involvement with the American Cancer Society began when her 14-year-old son was 6 and was diagnosed with leukemia. Her son is now a typical teenage boy and doing well. She was her son’s caregiver and that role morphed into volunteer as she took on Relay for Life in Randolph County. Clay, now the Community Development Manager for the American Cancer Society in all northeast Arkansas counties, was the guest speaker at the August luncheon of the Corning Chamber of Commerce on Monday, August 5 at El Acapulco. She discussed the idea of having a survivor dinner and a Road to Recovery Program in Clay County.
