City vacates alley; renews Entergy lease
The February Corning City Council meeting began as usual with all councilmen, Masterson, Vannoy, Godwin, and McKinney; Mayor Ahrent and city clerk, J’Anna Couch present. After the approval of the previous minutes, the council approved the Income and Expense Reports and approval of purchase orders and bills payable quickly.
In old business the council briefly discussed an online platform called SmartVault for managing and sharing files for the city clerk and deputy city clerk. The conversation was tabled until more information was gathered and Suzy Parks could be present to explain the details of the cost of the tool.
The council approved Resolution 2019-02 to accept a bid that authorizes the mayor to enter into a contract in the amount of $28,995.98 with Southeast Signs and Graphics for the purchase and installation of four baseball scoreboards at the ball complex.
