CHS students earn Honorable Mention in Federal Junior Duck Stamp Competition

Corning art students, Sirene Bollinger and Leslie Segraves recently received Honorable Mention in the Federal Junior Duck Stamp Competition for their duck stamp designs in the Federal Junior Duck Stamp Conservation and Design Program.

The program teaches waterfowl and wetland conservation to students in grades K-12. In the program, students are encouraged to explore and investigate biology and wildlife management principles and to express and share what they have learned.

The Junior Duck Stamp Art Contest is the conclusion of the Junior Duck Stamp educational program. After studying waterfowl anatomy and habitat, students demonstrate their knowledge by drawing or painting a picture of an eligible North American waterfowl species. Students from across the United States submit their artwork to their state, territory or district art competition.
