A pair of Corning High School graduates are expanding their tech company in Jonesboro, adding jobs, and having national impact.
Bob Shipman, a 1988 CHS graduate, is owner of Tech Friends Inc. He and wife Laura, who serves as CFO of the company, recently purchased the former Coca-Cola plant in Jonesboro where the former Hays Clothing was located. The couple, who met in Corning, purchased the facility and seven adjacent acres with intentions to expand their tech business. Tech Friends is already growing at a pace of doubling its workforce every two years. The new property enables the company to continue to grow.
