Chamber gains knowledge of county judge roles and budgets
The October Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Monday, October 22 was the first meeting with new president Carla Price presiding. Clay County Judge Mike Patterson was the speaker and provided some insight into the workings of the county road system and the role of a county judge. Patterson has an extensive public service record as he served six years on the Piggott City Council, was a state legislator for six years and presently serves as Clay County Judge. Patterson is in his first year in the position and shared some facts with the Chamber that he didn’t know when he started in the position, such as; the county road department has around 28 employees.
