Canadian snowbirds find snow in Corning

Northern travelers passing through Corning last Saturday were surprised to find it had snowed overnight in Arkansas. Al and Dorene Newman and their dog, Sasha (named after President Barrack Obama’s daughter) were migrating back north after spending the winter months in Mission, Texas. They made a stop in Corning to refuel and get snacks on their way back home to Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada. The Newman’s said they found it hard to believe that temperatures in Corning the previous Saturday were in the 60’s.
