CCAC announces Clay Co. scholarship winners
Clay County Arts Council is pleased to announce the annual scholarship winners for school year 2018-19. The winners applied for the grants through their schools and completed applications, submitted transcripts, and conveyed their plans for use of art fields for Clay County going into the future.
Lauren Ashley Stallings, daughter of Chad and Penny Stallings of Corning, was awarded the Clay County Arts Council Scholarship, to be used toward her college fees at Black River Technical College in Pocahontas. Lauren ranks 10th in her class and graduates with a 4.0 grade point average.
Lauren was heavily involved in all aspects of Corning High School student life, served in her church, and participated in philanthropy for the City of Corning. Lauren served as President of her local drama club, was inducted into International Thespian Society, and worked in the CHS Art Club in multiple endeavors.
