On Monday, the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center received 10,000 masks to distribute to veteran patients and their families. The masks were provided by the United States Exercise Tiger Foundation (USTF) in partnership with the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), the Office of the Governor, the U.S. Public Health Service, and the Kingdom Pilots’ Association (KPA).
The Corning School Board met on August 11, 2020 with all members present except Vickie Robinson who was unable to attend.
POCAHONTAS, AR – Black River Technical College has received a two federal firearms licenses for its gunsmithing program. The licenses are required for the program.
Jerry Gibbens, who served for more than half a century as an English professor at Williams Baptist University, was presented an honorary doctorate by WBU Saturday. The honor was bestowed during the university’s commencement exercises.
Verneal Willis Cooper was born and raised around Corning, Arkansas in 1920. She left the area at the age of 21 years old and moved west to California. She married her husband, Bill Cooper and they had one son, Edd. She lived in California for 66 years and in 2007 she moved back to Arkansas to Cherokee Village.
